The Provincial Government of Southern Leyte, in partnership with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Regional Office VIII (BFAR RO8), held a Ceremonial Stocking of 150 Bangus breeders on January 24, 2025. The breeders, donated by BFAR RO8, are intended to support the Provincial Multi-Species Marine Fish Hatchery, a key initiative to promote sustainable aquaculture and marine resource development in the province.
The event featured the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by Governor Mian Mercado, SP Board Member Bacoy, BFAR Regional Director Dodo Maputol, Provincial Fishery Officer Rowvic Docena, and Barangay Captain Maximo Siona.
