In a significant boost to agricultural education and productivity, approximately 175 rice farmer scholars from Southern Leyte have recently graduated in various courses under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund – Rice Extension Services Program (RCEF-RESP) administered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The graduates, who have undergone extensive training to enhance their skills and knowledge in modern rice farming techniques, were educated at several integrated farms across the region. The MAGATA Integrated Farm in Brgy. Catmon, Saint Bernard; the Nickjoy Integrated Farm in Brgy. Maanyag, Tomas Oppus; and the SSM Integrated Farm in Brgy. Kauswagan, Saint Bernard served as the primary training venues.
