Bong Go, Robin give assistance to city residents

Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go visited Maasin City with Senator Robinhood “Robin” Padilla last August 11, 2022, in solidarity with the celebration of the city’s twenty-second charter day anniversary.
Together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) they personally distributed grocery items, face masks, vitamins, basketballs, shoes, tablets and bikes.
A total of 1,201 drivers, 950 of whom are tricycle drivers, will receive P3,000 financial aid from the DSWD through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
According to CSWDO Officer Jhade Bestudio, the 950 drivers are purely from Maasin City, 300 of them were given the financial aid during the first day activity, and the rest are to follow.
Two Senators also joined the LGU FUN Day at Maasin City gymnasium.
The two senators visited Southern Leyte last December 2021 in the aftermath of Typhoon Odette.
