A wave of excitement swept through the Capitol Grounds as the Miss Southern Leyte 2024 pageant drew enthusiastic crowds from various municipalities.
Brightly hosted by Miss Supranational 2023 First Runner-Up, Pauline Amelinckx, and actor, Nico Locco, the competition saw fierce but friendly rivalry among the contestants, each vying for the prestigious title.
For the minor awards segment, Miss Malitbog, Lovely Ivy Gabronino Handog, emerged as a double awardee, bagging both Miss Affordabuys and Best in Evening Gown. Miss Saint Bernard, Mary Ann Napuli, got Miss SBMPC. Miss Bontoc, Bea Labastida Robles was named Miss Friendship. Miss Maasin City, Cestine Aury Abiera Fenix, dazzled the judges, winning both Best in Production Number and Best in Swimsuit. Miss Tomas Oppus, Caryl Anne Grate Beltran, stood out with several titles, including Miss Globe Telecom, Miss SkeenLife, Miss Social Media, Miss Photogenic, and Best in Tourism Video.
After the top five beauties were chosen, the question and answer substantially determined who would capture the coveted crown.
Miss Tomas Oppus, Caryl Anne Grate Beltran, was crowned Miss Southern Leyte 2024 for her impressive performance throughout the night.
Joining her in the winners’ circle were First Runner-Up, Miss Liloan – Shannen Nikki Damasin Ortega; Second Runner-Up, Miss Malitbog – Lovely Ivy Gabronino Handog; Third Runner-Up, Miss Anahawan – Angelie Gwyn Jamorol; and Fourth Runner-Up, Miss Hinundayan – Desiree Baclayon Gamolo.
