The Southern Leyte Provincial Research & Extension Section, headed by Mercedita Adobas, recently hosted 32 pre-elementary learners from Saint Teresa of Avila of Hilongos Inc., Leyte, for an educational tour focused on agriculture.
Adobas and School Principal Ms. Rhodora O. Flores coordinated in the initiative that aligns with the school’s Pre-Elementary Science curriculum.
The tour introduced children to the fundamentals of farming through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, highlighting the importance of agriculture in daily life. By engaging the youth early, the program fosters appreciation for farming and sustainability, ensuring continued support for agriculture in the future.
