The feared new coronavirus (COVID-19) Delta variant was reportedly confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) to be present in Eastern Visayas – Borongan, Can-avid, Arteche and Tacloban. There was no evident local transmission, it was said.
The DOH is urging the public to keep practicing the public health protocol, and get vaccinated.
The Delta variant, according to findings, is more contagious, deadlier, and patients get sicker.
