Electricity rate reduces to P12.8243 per kWhr

The Southern Leyte Electric Cooperative (SOLECO) recently announced to its Consumedores Members that the Electricity Tariff for the month of August 2021 is down to P12.8243 per kWhr of consumption, lower by P0. 3592 per kWhr consumption compared to the month of July 2021 which was P13. 1835 per KWhr.
The reason for the P0.3592 decrease is the exhaustion of electricity tariff on the Government Charges included in Value Added Tax (VAT) in Power Cost from the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
