Enthusiastic girl scouts in Southern Leyte set up their tents on November 25 at the spacious grounds of Villa Jacinta public elementary school in Macrohon town. Ready to learn and for adventure the 1,266 girl scout campers, coming from different towns of the province, reported snappily in complete uniform for the opening program the following day. The junior, senior and cadet scouts representing their districts, wholeheartedly presented their signature yells to the delight of the participants and guests. Dr. Isidro C. Catubig of the Department of Education inspired the girls with his message on the significance of man’s respect for nature to make our world sustainable.
