In observance of National Correctional Consciousness Week, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Southern Leyte Chapter extended legal consultations and organized a gift-giving event for 60 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at Maasin City Jail. This initiative aims to foster hope to prisoners by providing legal guidance and raising awareness about their legal rights and their available remedies under the law. The IBP team was led by Chapter President Atty. Edon B. Lescabo, with support from Atty. Rouella May P. Altar, Atty. Rejoice V. Epelipcia, Atty. Seth Michael M. Calapre, Atty. Ma. Jeah Lovita C. Cardoza and IBP Secretary Jean Indiano Espina, in coordination with BJMP personnel led by Jail Officer Rhain Flores.
