Acacia mangium trees adorn Maasin hills

The Philippine Red Cross-Southern Leyte Chapter reported that 2,000 acacia mangium trees were planted last March 26, 2021 in Danao, Malapoc Norte, Maasin City by the different stakeholders, namely: the Office of the Congressman, Philippine Red Cross, DENR, DPWH, PNP, SK and other residents. Trees were also planted last November 27, 2020 in the same vicinity and most of these are alive. This activity is in conjunction with PRC Southern Leyte Board of Directors Chairman and Representative Roger G. Mercado’s program entitled “One Man, One Tree Can Make A Forest.”
