She loves to always look her best when she goes to church – nice dress with matching accessories and a sincere charming smile. That is Julita Gerona Kapili, widow of Dr. Pascual Kapili, an esteemed son of Southern Leyte and respected person in Silliman University.
Na Juling recently celebrated her 100th birthday with her family, fellow church members and friends. The celebration was highlighted by a Worship of Praise and Thanksgiving at the Lilies Kapili and Ruperto Mercado beach property in Ibarra, Maasin City.
Daughter Bethsaida Kapili Suarez shared a Reflection about their beloved mother, and Reverend Nathaniel B. Anas gave the Sermon that reminisced some of the celebrant’s endearing ways. The worship service was led by Kline Kapili, and Beverly Ann Espina Navarrete provided the organ accompaniment and music.
Julita Kapili, whose birthday was on August 21, is blessed with five children: Atty. Bethany Kapili (retired RTC Judge), Dr. Eden Kapili, Bethlehem, Jordan, and Bethsaida
A luncheon followed. Minimum medical protocol was observed.
