The Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Southern Leyte Chapter, led by its president Atty. Jana Felice P. Gonzalez and IBP officers, recently organized a series of legal lectures aimed at enhancing the knowledge and competencies of local lawyers. The event was held at Coastal Gatherings in Maasin City. Topics covered during the lecture series included property transfer procedures, updates on election laws, and issues concerning the affixing of documentary stamps and other key areas relevant to legal practice in the province. Guest speakers included Lemy L. Loteyro and John Vincent L. Dizon from the Register of Deeds, Atty. Don Joshua D. Margate of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), and Ma. Teresa Noemi A. Pizon along with Atty. Lyle Laplana from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). The event underscored the IBP’s continuing commitment to professional development and legal education in Southern Leyte.
