Maaasin City to allocate housing for displaced workers

MAASIN CITY – The National Housing Authority (NHA) is closely working with the city government of Maasin for the construction of 100 housing units.
This was revealed by Engr. Constancio Antiniero, NHA regional manager, during the transparency roadshow forum held at the city gym here last November 4, 2021.
Antiniero said the houses will include plumbing and electrical connections, and these are to be located in a lot purchased by the city LGU in barangay Tam-is, about 8 kilometers from city proper going towards Matalom, Leyte by the national highway. Two hectares had been allocated for this purpose. The house and lot package cost P500,000.00 with 15 years repayment term, Antiniero further said.
Maasin City mayor Nacional Mercado earlier announced the coordination of the city and the NHA for the proposed housing settlement intended for displaced and informal workers.
