The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) strengthens its presence in Maasin to enhance maritime safety and economic growth.
Marina has inaugurated its extension office in Maasin, Southern Leyte to improve accessibility for industry stakeholders. During the ceremony, MRO-8 Regional Director Cheryl Pascua emphasized the significance of opening Marina services to industry stakeholders in Maasin, improving accessibility and boosting support for local seafarers and fisherfolk.
The event on Feb. 25, 2025 was led by Director Pascua, alongside Department of Public Works and Highways First District Engineer Manolo Rojas and 1st District Representative Luz V. Mercado. Officials from the local government unit of Maasin, Coast Guard Eastern Visayas District, Philippine Ports Authority, and shipowners attended the ceremony.
