To address the shortage of healthcare professionals and improve the medical services in the province, 20 nursing students from The College of Maasin officially became scholars under the Provincial Medical Doctors/Nurses Scholarship Program. The students signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on November 14, 2024, following an earlier agreement with their parents on November 13, 2024.
Additionally, four medical students qualified for the program this year, with two attending the MOA signing held on September 9, 2024. The medical scholars are Zamieca T. Paña, Cleo Ray A. Tabada, Meynard Gino J. Rosete, and Linus Gideon C. Pascua.
Meanwhile, the nursing scholars include Khym Cyril L. Pia, Grishel Mae Baja, Richane Zerah C. Moldez, Sofia Rose M. Batiancilia, Krisreen Marie O. Baldos, Chera Marie C. Fernandez, Jenchris D. Razo, Justin Christie D. Sabandal, Joyce M. Bulaga, Rachel Anne M. Cahucom, Yulebeth C. Salas, Keisha G. Castillo, Lovely S. Antoc, Aira R. Piquero, Kyla P. Macion, Le Ann A.
