Menching Passes Away

Born on March 16, 1947, Carmencita “Menching” Fernandez Siga had a childless married life with husband US Army veteran Arturo “Art” Siga, some part of which they spent in travels to the US mainland notably in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A good cook and fashion enthusiast, Menching engaged in the food service and beauty parlor businesses.
Graciously faithful to her husband, Menching was amiable and generous to friends and acquaintances.
After undergoing some chemotherapy in Cebu City, Menching eventually succumbed to ovarian cancer on April 26, 2025. And she had fulfilled her lifetime wish of being laid to rest beside her father Jose “Peping” Fernandez at the Roman Catholic cemetery in barangay Mambajao, Maasin City.
