Southern Leyte Congressman Roger “Oging” Mercado has emerged as one of the five top-performing congressmen in Region VIII, according to a non-commissioned and independent survey released on August 10, 2021.
The RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc.(RFMD), headed by Executive Director Dr. Paul Martinez, conducted a survey in Eastern Visayas, and based the top-five results on data gathered from August 1 to 10, 2021.
The foundation said that a total of 10,000 respondents per district in every region were asked “Do you approve or disapprove of the way the District Representative is handling his/her job as Congressman/Congresswoman?”
The other top-performing congressmen according to the survey results are Leyte’s First District Representative Martin Romualdez, Biliran Lone District Rep. Gerardo Espina Jr., Leyte 4th District Rep. Lucy Marie Torres-Gomez, and Leyte 5th District Rep. Carl Nicolas Cari.
