The Salvacion Oppus Yniguez Memorial Provincial Hospital (SOYMPH) recently inaugurated its newly constructed Negative Pressure Isolation Ward, a facility designed to strengthen the province’s healthcare system and enhance its ability to respond to infectious diseases.
Funded by the World Bank-Philippine COVID-19 Emergency Response Project (PCERP) through the Department of Health (DOH) and in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Southern Leyte, this modern isolation ward will provide a controlled and safer environment for both patients and healthcare workers, ensuring better infection management.
This new facility will improve healthcare services and provide safer, more efficient, and accessible medical care to the people of the province.
