Padre Burgos gets new ambulance from Japan

Notably progressing town of Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte has received a P2 million ambulance from the government of Japan on August 28, 2024. Mayor Hermenegildo C. Culpa, other town officials, Dr. Letecia O. Tan and Ms. Tokiko Nishimura, Second Secretary at the Embassy of Japan were there during the turnover ceremony.
The donation was under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP). Nihimura also said that since 1989, Japan has implemented over 500 projects in the Philippines related to this project.
Meanwhile, Mayor Culpa gave an assurance that LGU-Padre Burgos will fund the maintenance of the vehicle to ensure its long-term serviceability.
