Phil ID system registers 76.25%

SOUTHERN LEYTE – A total of 327,553 persons have already registered for the new Philippine Identification Card (PhilID), says Raylene R. Ricarte, PhilSys focal person of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Southern Leyte.
According to the PSA data, 76.25% out of 429,573 total population of Southern Leyte, had confirmed their registration from ages 5 years old and above.
Maasin City has the highest number of registrants with 63,997.
In five towns, namely: Padre Burgos, Pintuyan, San Francisco, Tomas Oppus and Limasawa, Phil Post has not yet received nor delivered the national ID’s.
The PSA targets 5O million PhilIDs by the end of 2022. While waiting, PSA will produce a printable version of the PhilID to complement the on-going printing of the physical PhilIDs. It will allow registrants to have their digital PhilID printed, downloaded, or generated in the mobile app for their use. The printed ePhilID also bears the same information like the physical PhilID card, containing the registered person’s demographic data, front-facing photograph, PhilSys Card Number (PCN), generation date, and QR code.
The ePhilID registration centers are located in Maasin City at Anatalio Gaviola Plaza in barangay Tunga-Tunga and 2nd floor of SLEMCOOP, R. Kangleon St., Brgy. Asuncion; in Sogod at Primark Bldg. 2nd floor, barangay Zone II; Lotao 2, barangay Poblacion, Liloan; Municipal Building, barangay Labrador in Hinunangan; and 2nd floor, Town Center, barangay Himatagon, in Saint Bernard.
