Maasin City Police Station was tagged as the Best City Police Station last October 17, 2022, during the celebration of the 121st Police Service Anniversary at the Police Regional Office 8, Matapat Hall, Camp Ruperto Kangleon in Palo, Leyte.
The award confirms the strict implementation and enforcement of the law, preventing and controlling crimes, maintaining peace and order in the city, safety and security of the public.
Southern Leyte Police Provincial Office also received a Special Unit Award in recognition for its contribution in alleviating the lives of the affected people and community brought by the onslaught of Typhoon Odette last December 16, 2021.
The anniversary was celebrated with the theme: “Strong Relations between Police and Citizens, Towards Unity, Peace and Development.”
