Philippine Red Cross-Southern Leyte 143 volunteer president, Edin Villamor, saved the life of a child through a CPR in Barangay Mabini, Macrohon, So. Leyte. Villamor helped a child who drowned in the river on April 27, 2024. She performed CPR on the child who was unresponsive at first. After a few minutes, the patient was revived and transported to the hospital for further medical intervention.
Meanwhile 147 children were immunized in a house to house visitation by community health volunteers and RC 135 in five barangays in the municipality of Sogod last April 26-27, 2024. The RC 143 Volunteers for Health Services were led by Mechel Resos and JeSah Avila.
