Sari-sari store to level up more in DTI program

SOUTHERN LEYTE – The micro enterprise sari-sari store is given more attention by the government through Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) second module of “Tindahan Mo e-Level Up Mo.”
All sari-sari store owners and those other micro business owners and producers in Southern Leyte and other provinces of the country are encouraged to avail of the DTI modules designed for these businesses.
On July 24, 2024, the DTI completed Module 2: e-Level Up ang Online Marketing, in partnership with industry leaders like Unilever, Nestlé and social media platform, TikTok. This module equips sari-sari store owners with digital marketing strategies to expand their customer base and boost sales.
Module 2 is a step up from the basics by utilizing the online business platforms in order to reach new customers, expand the micro business owners reach and drive growth for their businesses, DTI Secretary Fred Pascual said.
DTI Undersecretary Ed Sunico also said that module2 includes social media marketing techniques, such as creating engaging short videos and live-selling sessions. Additionally, the module provided tips on how to become brand affiliates, which would allow participants to diversify their product offerings and increase their income.
Sunico further said that digital marketing is no longer optional but a necessity to keep up with consumer behavior and market trends.
The three remaining modules, according to DTI, will include the following: Module 3: e-Level Up ang Puhunan (August 28), Module 4: e-Level Up ang Paninda, and Module 5: e-Level Up ang Operations (October 23).
The DTI encourages all sari-sari store owners and microentrepreneurs to access the modules on the Department’s Facebook and YouTube pages. Replays are also available at the Regional and Provincial Offices, as well as Negosyo Centers nationwide. Those who wish to learn more about the program may join the Facebook group, DTI Tindahan Mo, e-Level Up Mo Program. (GMR, DTI)
