The SJC Baby Green Hawks Maasin City, under the monicker MASAM SQUAD, recently emerged as champion in the Divisoria, Bontoc competition for boys age 17 and under basketball developmental league. The SJC Maasin team edged Sogod Selection in a thriller of an overtime championship game hosted by the Divisoria Parish headed by Rev. Fr. Totie Generan.
The winning Coach JV Mendoza and Asst. Coach Paul Gonzalez thanked the hosts and Mayor Noel Alinsub of Bontoc who awarded the cash prize. This writer attended the title winning game of the EVRAA bound SJC MASAM SQUAD and thanked the SJC Administration and Sir Dante Monter for allowing the secondary players to compete in the tournament.
