The Saint Joseph College Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) Unit demonstrated its dedication to environmental sustainability by joining a mangrove tree-planting event last November 9, 2024 in Barangay Guadalupe, Maasin City, Southern Leyte. The activity was led by Lieutenant Colonel Arturo M. Dumalagan of Philippine Army (PA) and ROTC Commandant, under the guidance of Sergeant Loberto N. Bug-os, PA Admin, with the participation of officers along with Philippine Army Reservists.
“Planting a tree goes beyond adding greenery; it’s about nurturing hope, providing shelter, and committing to a sustainable future. Together, let’s bring life to the soil, clean air to the skies, and shade for the generations to come.”
