SLSU produces 91 new teachers

The Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) was able to churn in a total of 91 licensed teachers from this batch of January 2022 examinees of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) from the campuses of Sogod, Tomas Oppus, Hinunangan and San Juan. Twenty-six were first-time takers, according to the information released by the Professional Regulation Commission.
The SLSU announced the breakdown of the overall performance percentage per campus for first-time takers. For Elementary Education, the Main Campus (Sogod) obtained 100% passing average. Three campuses for Secondary Education: Main Campus – 60%;
Hinunangan Campus – 100%; Tomas Oppus Campus – 66.67%
The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 8,737 elementary teacher examinees out of 15,696 examinees or 55.66% and 12,074 secondary teacher examinees out of 22,454 examinees or 53.77% successfully passed the LET examination. The examination was given last January 30, 2022 in 29 testing centers.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be opened on the following dates of 2022: April 18 to 22, April 25 to 28 and May 4, 5, 6.
The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are as follows: Notice of Admission; downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal; two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag); two sets of documentary stamps; and one piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
