SLSU ranks 7th nationwide in Criminology Licensure Exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 22,245 out of 36,768 examinees—an overall passing rate of 60.50%—successfully passed the February 2025 Licensure Examination for Criminologists. The exam was administered by the Board of Criminology across 29 testing centers nationwide.


Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) in Sogod, Southern Leyte, emerged as the Top 7 Performing School in the country, achieving an outstanding overall passing rate of 92.21%. Among first-time takers, 71 passed, resulting in an impressive passing rate of 94.67%. Including repeaters, the university recorded 71 passers out of 77 examinees, further solidifying its reputation for academic excellence in criminology.

Meanwhile, Saint Joseph College (SJC) in Maasin City, Southern Leyte, celebrated the success of 109 Josephinian students who passed the exam. Among first-time takers, 101 passed, yielding a 50.00% passing rate. The school’s overall performance recorded 109 passers, with an average passing rate of 48.66%. (Source: PRC)
