SLT finalist for environmental and migration reporting

The Philippine Press Institute’s board of judges for this year’s Community Press Awards has cited Southern Leyte Times as one of the finalists for the category of newspaper Environmental Reporting and Migration Reporting.
The Southern Leyteño newspaper, which has been serving the community since 1999, has been selected from the more than 80 regional, provincial and community newspapers in the Philippines. SLT has always continued to strive and provide prestige and honor to the local press by winning the PPI-Konrad Adenaure national award, Media Without Borders 2019 Best Provincial Newspaper and award finalist in different categories by newspaper and press award giving bodies in the past years.
