The Commission on Elections released the partial and unofficial results for the senatorial race in Southern Leyte, highlighting the top 12 candidates who garnered the most votes in the province, as of May 15, 2025.
Leading the list is Senator Bong Go (PDPLBN) with 161,185 votes, followed by Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa (PDPLBN) who secured the second spot with 146,348 votes. Rodante Marcoleta (Independent) placed third with 84,994 votes, while Jimmy Bondoc (PDPLBN) and Phillip “Ipe” Salvador (PDPLBN) came in fourth and fifth with 83,756 and 73,344 votes, respectively. Completing the top half of the slate is Camille Villar (Nacionalista Party) in sixth place with 71,578 votes.
The rest of the top 12 are Raul Lambino (PDPLBN) with 67,398 votes, Jayvee Hinlo (PDPLBN) with 63,597 votes, Erwin Tulfo (Lakas) with 62,643 votes, Atty. Vic Rodriguez (Independent) with 59,499 votes, Bam Aquino (KNP) with 54,107 votes, and Lito Lapid (NPC) with 50,282 votes.
The results reflect strong support for candidates allied with the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDPLBN), which secured six of the top 12 spots in the province.
Meanwhile, Tingog Partylist received the most votes in the province with 59,541 votes. (DYbañez)
