First FIDE-rated Chess Tournaments in Maasin City

The Maasin Chess Club Incorporated will be having its first FIDE- rated tournaments in Standard, Rapid, and Blitz formats this month of May 2022. These unprecedented chess tournaments will be held at the chess clubhouse on the second floor of Milagros Cortel Building located in Purok Sambag, Brgy. Asuncion of this city. The chess club was founded with the vision that it will be the home of the city’s very own Grandmasters. The said tournaments will also be historic in that it will produce the city’s first FIDE-rated chess players.
The following are the tournament schedules for the month of May 2022. Standard Tournament will be on May 13-15; Rapid Tournament on May 22; and Blitz Tournament on May 29.
