It goes without saying that when you meet the right person everything will fall into place. They will accept and love you despite anything. This holds true for Sherlyn and Darrel, two persons who come from different places with different stories to tell, who met each other and fell in love.Sherlyn left for Brunei to gain a new perspective in life.  As for Darrel, he came to the place to work in order to support his family. They worked for the same hotel, got to know each other, and romance bloomed. Despite being away from their homeland, they created a home of their own in a foreign land, built on the love that they shared. Then the COVID-19 pandemic happened, affecting Filipino foreign workers in one way or another. Sherlyn and Darrel were not spared, as they both lost their jobs and had to return to the Philippines. But despite all the uncertainties brought about by the pandemic, one thing was sure about the couple, it was their love, support, and commitment for each other, and the promise to build a good future for their little girl. God must have blessed the road that led them to each other, as Sherlyn, a health worker, and Darrel, a cruise ship staff, tied the knot on March 9,  2024 in an intimate wedding ceremony attended by the couple’s family, friends and workmates. Well wishes and warm messages from the guests poured upon the bride and groom as they toasted their wine glasses for a new life together as Mr. and Mrs. De la Cruz. The late afternoon wedding reception happily segued into a night full of fun and dancing. (SGenistonReyes)
