That seventh December night, 2021, the Philippine Red Cross Southern Leyte (PRC-SL) officers and staff were transformed from their standard red shirt with its logo of blue and red cross uniform, into men and women dressed in formal attire. The men looked handsome in coat and tie or Philippine barong, while the ladies were radiant in their resplendent long gown. The Thanksgiving and Christmas Party was held on the elegant function hall of Villa Romana in Abgao, Maasin City.
The fun evening was highlighted by the entertaining “tiktok” presentations of the PRC-SL officers and staff, who were judged by the Board of Directors. Prizes were given to the winners. All the directors gave their short heartwarming messages extending thanks to everyone in Red Cross for their commitment, compassion and spirit of volunteerism.
The Red Cross SL Chapter, led by Administrator Jonas Maco, extended thanks to the chapter’s Chairman and DPWH Secretary, Roger G. Mercado, Governor Damian G. Mercado and Mayor Nacional V. Mercado for their donations. The Board of Directors also shared their love and blessings for the raffle. No one went home without a gift.
