DILG Southern Leyte has facilitated the conduct of formulation-workshop for the Risk-Informed and Results-Based Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA) 2023-2025 of the Province of Southern Leyte last October 4-7, 2022 at Park Inn, Bacolod City.
The main objective of the activity is to formulate and harmonize the agenda of both the Executive and Legislative branches for a smooth and coordinated implementation of its priority programs.
The program commenced with the presentation of the rationale, objectives and framework of the planning process by the PD Danilo Laguitan of DILG.
Governor Damian G. Mercado welcomed the participants and guests. He then presented the priority agenda of his Administration, which he intends to implement during his term.
Meanwhile, Vice-governor Rosa Emilia Mercado, the presiding officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan also presented the Legislative agenda.
The training team from the Department of Interior and Local Government includes PD Danilo Laguitan, CH Roma C. Demeterio, PM Jhonel M. Añavesa, PhD and CLGOO Bennites P. Gido.
The activity also included a knowledge sharing activity with the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental when the team visited the medical waste disposal facility and the tourism facility of the province. The team also met with Mayor Albee Benitez, SP Members and department heads for the sharing of Bacolod City’s best practices and innovation in local governance.
The activity ended with the commitment that the Province can submit the ELA on October 10, 2022.
